72 Hours!

This is the final stretch. 72 hours to go. I'm almost ready, but I still don't feel like I'm actually leaving. Everything is done. My last day of work is tomorrow morning. I have my long awaited visa into Brazil. Most of my room is packed. Two farewell parties later, I think this might actually be happening.

The plan for the trip is this:
March 3rd - Fly out of Chicago O'Hare
March 4th - Land in Sao Paulo, Brazil
April 27th - Begin Inca Trail into Machu Picchu
July 10th - Fly out of Sao Paulo
July 11th - Land at Chicago O'Hare

Everything else in between will be decided once we get there, but will include Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile (depending now on the earthquake situation), Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador.

Hopefully, I should have time to update this blog and post pictures so everyone can follow me on this exciting adventure. I decided to do this rather than emails that I send out when I was in Thailand because I wanted to do something more frequent since we'll be moving from place to place doing new things everyday and because I wanted to be able to incorporate pictures into what I am talking about. If all goes well, that's the plan. I'm going to try to send out emails letting you know when I update the blog and of course photos will still be on facebook.

The countdown is on. Still have some laundry to do. Last minute items to pick up at Target. Looking forward to starting this next chapter in my life.
